History

Our Story

SightLine began in 2000 as SightLine Laser Eye Center, founded by Dr. Lou Phillips, O.D. Originally, the practice served as a trusted refractive surgery center where local optometrists referred patients for LASIK and laser vision correction.

As requests for expanded ophthalmology services grew, SightLine evolved. In 2004, Dr. Lou welcomed a cataract surgeon and Dr. Charlene Maloney, O.D., leading to the new name SightLine Ophthalmic Associates.

In 2008, Dr. Paul Phillips, M.D. brought fellowship training in cornea and anterior segment surgery to the practice, expanding services to include corneal transplants, keratoconus care, and additional corneal procedures.

Dr. Lou retired in 2018, and his patient-centered philosophy continues today.

Our Mission

Our goal is to provide exceptional surgical and medical eye care in a welcoming environment. We emphasize clear communication so patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, from cataract surgery to corneal disease management.

We remain committed to our referral-based model and value the trust local eye doctors place in us.
