A Two Doctor Approach: Your Eye Doctor & Your Eye Surgeon
SightLine Laser Eye Center was established to assist your doctor in delivering to you the very best possible laser vision correction (LVC). Your eye doctor is the best professional to guide you and to manage your care through this process. Your doctor will decide if you are a candidate, determine the health and refractive status of your eyes and determine the treatment amount that should be applied. We work with your doctor to incorporate his/her advice in formulating the treatment plan. LVC involves surgery requiring sophisticated instrumentation, a well-trained support staff and the exceptional skills of an eye surgeon. At SightLine, we have the very latest laser technology approved in the country! Our surgeons are caring practitioners who have a high level of experience in refractive surgery. Our role is to deliver the surgical portion of laser vision correction to meet the high expectations of both you and your doctor. Your doctor is in the unique position to be able to evaluate our portion of this care and to be your advocate. This is a strong motivating force for us and should be a source of comfort for you. That is why we are honored that your doctor continues to select us to participate in your care.

Allegretto WaveLight
Most precise laser technology available in the US
Best FDA outcomes: outperformed or matched all other custom & standard lasers).
Most advanced safety features
Fastest eye-tracking system (200 times per second) with fastest response time - ensures perfectly placed beam pulses.
Custom Treatment based on corneal curvature for the widest range of patients
Even patients with high myopia, high hyperopia & monovision (many of whom are not candidates on other lasers) can be treated safely with better results.
Improved quality of night vision, glare & sharper vision
Patients experience less glare and halos due to the wavefront-optimized aspheric ablation pattern and larger true treatment zones, resulting in better quality of vision at night. The only laser approved by the FDA to make this claim.
Less chance of enhancement
Better accuracy results in reduced likelihood of having to return for a touch-up procedure.
Ziemer Femto LDV
Highest level of excellence in Femtosecond lasers
Uses ultra-fast, tightly focused, low energy laser beams resulting in rapid healing time.
Advanced features in creating flap
Unlike other femtosecond lasers, the bubbles created by the Ziemer disappear immediately after the flap is lifted, creating a smoother surface and allowing the next step of the procedures to begin without any waiting time.
Personalized procedure every time based on patient's requirements
Laser pulses are delivered through a lens causing the layers of the cornea to separate, thereby creating a LASIK flap of the desired thickness, size, orientation, and location unique to each patient's needs.
Less worry about surgical complications
A tremendous level of control and customization makes our bladeless procedure safer, speeds visual recovery, makes our patients more comfortable, and contributes to better visual outcomes.

Vision Correction Procedures
Laser-In-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) and Surface Ablation [Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)] are common methods for reshaping the cornea using an excimer laser. Though similar, each has its own advantages and disadvantages which will be carefully discussed.
Myopia is corrected by flattening the central area of the cornea. Astigmatism is corrected by smoothing the asymmetric shape of the cornea and Hyperopia is corrected by removing small amounts of peripheral or outer area tissue to steepen the cornea.
With today's technology, more patients are now candidates for Laser Vision Correction. A comprehensive evaluation can be completed by your eye doctor to determine for which procedures you might be a candidate. For patients who are not candidates for Laser Vision Corrections, intraocular lens implants (ICLs) are an option which is available at SightLine.
